Iran appears to be targeting commercial vessels that transfer oil between ships in and near the Strait of Hormuz, the Institute for the Study of War said Tuesday, according to the AP. The Jerusalem Post, citing the UK Maritime Trade Operations center, reported a container ship was hit by a projectile inside the strait.
The Saudi-led coalition launched new airstrikes on Yemen's Houthi-held capital, Sanaa, the AP reported, after Houthi attacks on Saudi energy and aviation sites. Saudi authorities said an Aramco administrative building in Dhahran was attacked with no casualties.
The region remains tense after the U.S.-Israeli campaign against Iran that began Feb. 28 and the ceasefire that took effect in April. The Times of Israel reports Trump said he would decide on Iran 'very soon' but has said publicly he will not resume strikes before the midterms.
