About Watchman Report
Watchman Report covers world and American news with every major story tied to the Bible.
"Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me."Ezekiel 3:17, KJV
Our perspective
We are Christians who read the whole Bible, Old Testament and New, with an Israelite-rooted understanding. We honor God's covenant with Israel, we take the Law and the Prophets to heart, and we believe Jesus (Yeshua) is the promised Messiah they pointed to. We don't see the Old and New Testaments as two separate stories. We read them as one story of God keeping His promises, and that is how we read the news: watching the nations, holding leaders to God's standard of righteousness, and looking for the patterns the prophets and the apostles described.
Our approach
- Facts first. Every news story opens with reported facts, attributed to and linked back to the original reporting.
- A clear line. A divider separates the facts from our interpretation, so you always know which is which.
- Real Scripture. Verses are quoted from the King James Version, with context and plain-language application.
- Respect for all people. We criticize actions and policies, never whole peoples. Every person bears the image of the Creator (Genesis 1:27).
